| Address Resolution | Displays and modifies the cache of locally resolved IP addresses to Media Access Control |
| Protocol (ARP) | (MAC) addresses. |
| PING | Verifies the availability of the remote host by sending the echo request and analyzing replies. |
| TRACERT | Traces the route for packets from local hosts to the specified remote host. |
| IPCONFIG | Displays current TCP/IP configuration, including IP address(es), DNS, and WINS addresses. |
| ROUTE | Views and modifies the local routing table. |
| NBTSTAT | Displays protocol statistics and current TCP/IP connections using NetBIOS over TCP/IP. This utility is also used to determine the registered NetBIOS name and to view the local name cache. |
| NSLOOKUP | Displays information from Domain Name System (DNS) name servers about a particular host or domain. You can also use this utility to check the availability of the domain name across the Internet. |
| NETSTAT | Displays protocol statistics and current TCP/IP network connections. |
| Event Log | Standard Windows NT tool used to track events, warnings, and errors. (While the Event Log can be used for TCP/IP troubleshooting, its primary function is to track overall health of the system.) |
